My Game Collection

I am an avid collector of games. My primary “collection” consists of Monopoly boards. However, I have also collected several Clue, Risk, Life and other games I played in my childhood. I maintain a collection of almost 30 Monopoly-type games and over 475 other games.

This interest is rooted in my childhood. My brother really loved playing games and would ask to play constantly. I had no problem playing most of the games he would suggest but I would really dread Monopoly, due to its length and monotonous nature. We usually never got to the end of the game anyway because I would get mad and throw the board. However, in college I purchased the Disney version for some unknown reason. When I started playing again with this version, I became obsessed with board games again. I was fascinated with the board, tokens and hotels. They were uniquely created for the edition. Originally, I collected Monopoly but when other games started making special editions I collected them as well. My collection is centered around unique pieces and concepts. I also get editions that directly relate to my interests.
